This 1967 Lancia Fulvia Sport Zagato is said to have been sold new in Italy, was imported to California in the 1990s, and was acquired by the seller in 2011. It is finished in black over red leather and is powered by a 1.3-liter V4 mated to a four-speed manual transaxle. The car underwent a refurbishment that concluded in May 2021 and included a repaint, repair to the power-operated rear lift hatch, reupholstery work, replacement of suspension and brake components, and engine service that consisted of replacing the crankshaft, piston rings, rod bearings, main seals, spark plugs, ignition wires, distributor cap, and valve-cover gasket.
The aluminum body was refinished in its current shade of black during the refurbishment, and the seller notes bubbling paint in some repaired areas. Equipment includes bright bumpers, trim, grille, and headlight surrounds as well as a power-lifting rear hatch and replacement badges. The window seals and door-lock gaskets were replaced during the repaint, and the hatch motor has been rebuilt.
Silver-finished 13″ wheels exhibit curb rash and are wrapped in 175/70 BlackLion Landscape tires. The brake master cylinder and wheel cylinders were replaced in November 2018. The exterior lights were cleaned and rewired in March 2021.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench that have been reupholstered in red leather with matching door panels and a contrasting black dashboard and carpeting. Equipment includes wood dash trim, a push-button AM/FM radio, a clock, and a glovebox. The floors are lined with rubber mats that were replaced in January 2017, and the crank for the left window was replaced in July 2020.
The wood-rimmed two-spoke steering wheel fronts Italian-scripted instrumentation consisting of a 180-km/h speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, and gauges for fuel level, water temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 93k kilometers (~58k miles).
During the 2020-2021 refurbishment the 1.2-liter V4 was removed, displacement was increased to 1.3 liters, and the engine was repaired with replacement components. The process included replacement of the piston rings, crankshaft, rod and main bearings, engine seals, spark plugs, plug wires, distributor cap, and valve-cover gasket as well as repairing the cooling system and fitting engine and transmission mounts.
Power is routed to the front wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. The front and rear sway-bar bushings, front lower ball joints, lower control-arm bushings, and front and rear shocks were replaced in November 2018.
