This 1967 Sunbeam Alpine V is finished in red over black and powered by a Ford 2.8-liter V6 paired with a T5 five-speed manual transmission. The car is said to have spent time in Southern California before it was acquired by the seller and relocated to Indiana in 2018. Subsequent work included installing the current powertrain, stripping and repainting the body, refurbishing the interior, and fitting replacement gauges, an aftermarket 20-circuit fuse block and wiring harness, 15″ VTO alloy wheels, replacement rubber weather seals, an aftermarket removable fiberglass hard top, a replacement windshield, a dual exhaust system, and a three-row radiator.
The car is finished in red and features a removable aftermarket black fiberglass hardtop, a black soft top, a hood scoop, a replacement windshield, and a dummy radio antenna. The car was reportedly stripped to bare metal and repainted in January 2020.
Eight-spoke 15″ VTO wheels wear 195/55 Kuhmo Ecsta PS31 tires with date codes from 2017. Stopping power is provided by front discs and rear drums. The seller reports that the front brake rotors and pads as well as the rear brake shoes were replaced in July 2021. The factory brake booster has been removed from the car and is included in the sale.
The cabin features seating upholstered in black pebble-grain vinyl with a matching dash top and door panels. Replacement red carpeting and a lower padded dash roll accent the interior. Equipment includes manually reclining and tilting seat backs, a center armrest with storage, a Painless 20-circuit fuse block and wiring harness, and aftermarket Signal Dynamics self-cancelling turn signals. The seller notes that Lizard Skin liner and Dynamat insulation were applied to the inside of the cabin before the installation of the carpeting.
A two-spoke banjo steering wheel frames a 120-mph GPS speedometer and an aftermarket tachometer by Speedhut along with iEquus auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, and voltage. The fuel level gauge is a Jaeger unit which measures in gallons and liters. The digital odometer indicates 6k miles, which is said to have been accumulated by the seller since the V6 conversion was installed. Total chassis mileage is unknown.
Under current ownership the driveline was removed and replaced with a 2.8-liter Ford V6 and a T5 five-speed manual transmission using a DanR Sunbeam Alpine V6 conversion kit. The engine features a Comp Cams camshaft and solid lifters, a Holley 390-cfm carburetor, an Offenhauser intake manifold, cylinder heads with ported and relieved valves, a three-row radiator, and ceramic-coated headers. A Wilwood clutch master cylinder and slave cylinder have also been installed.
The bottom of the car has been undercoated, and the frame cross rails were reportedly modified when the dual exhaust was installed.
A binder of parts invoices and documentation from the current owner is included in the sale along with a car cover.
