This 1968 Citroen DS21 Pallas is finished in red over black leather and was acquired by the current owner in 2010. Power comes from a 2.1-liter inline-four paired with a four-speed semi-automatic transaxle, and features include a hydropneumatic suspension, a Sonopex AM/FM radio, power-assisted steering and brakes, US-specification headlights, and 15” steel wheels with polished covers.
The bodywork is said to have been previously repainted in its current shade of red with a gray roof, and the driver’s side rear door was repainted in 2016 following repairs to address damage. Exterior features include US-specification headlights, stainless-steel C-pillar trim, twin side-view mirrors, and polished bumpers with rubber overriders.
Steel 15” wheels feature polished covers and are mounted with Vredestein Sprint Classic tires. The car rides on a height-adjustable hydropneumatic suspension, and stopping power is provided by inboard-mounted power front discs. The hydraulic fluid pump was replaced in 2015 by Garage Longueville of Santa Cruz, California, the front suspension spheres were replaced in 2017, and work in October 2019 included servicing the brake pistons as well as changing the brake fluid and hydraulic fluid.
The cabin features seats trimmed in black leather with a matching dashboard top and gray carpets. The rear bench seat and door panels were replaced in 2017, and the driver’s seat was refreshed that same year. Shoulder belts are fitted for front seat occupants, and amenities include a dash-mounted rear-view mirror, power-assisted steering, and a Sonopex AM/FM radio.
The single-spoke steering wheel frames a horizontal 120-mph speedometer and an analog clock. The five-digit odometer shows 2k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 2,175cc inline-four features a single carburetor and sends power to the front wheels through a four-speed semi-automatic transaxle. An oil change was performed in 2019.
