This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro convertible was built on February 28, 1969 and delivered new to Lustine Chevrolet of Hyattsville, Maryland. It was refurbished during the 1990s and acquired by the seller around a year ago. Finished in metallic blue with a black soft top over matching vinyl upholstery, the car is powered by a 350ci V8 paired with a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and a Positraction differential with 4.10:1 gearing. Equipment includes black hockey stick side stripes, a rear lip spoiler, Delco push-button AM/FM Blue Dot radio, power-assisted front disc brakes, and 14” Rally wheels. Recent maintenance has reportedly included a carburetor rebuild along with replacement of the battery and tires.
The car was factory finished in LeMans Blue (71) with a black soft top and is said to have been repainted during the refurbishment under prior ownership. Exterior features include black hockey stick stripes on both sides, a front spoiler, rear lip spoiler, and a dual exhaust.
The 14” Rally wheels feature chrome hubcaps and trim rings, and are mounted with white-letter Goodyear tires that have been recently replaced per the seller. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted front discs with rear drums, and a full-size spare is found in the trunk.
The interior features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl with a matching dashboard, door panels, and loop carpets. Lap belts are fitted for all occupants, and equipment includes a center console, a Delco Blue Dot push-button AM/FM radio, and faux woodgrain trim.
A three-spoke rosewood steering wheel is mounted to a tilt steering column and frames an analog clock flanked by a 120-mph speedometer and a 7k-rpm tachometer. A quartet of auxiliary gauges in the center console includes displays for voltage, coolant temperature, fuel level, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows just under 86k miles.
The 350ci V8 was rebuilt in 1997 and features a single Rochester four-barrel carburetor with a chrome air cleaner cover and replacement valve covers. The seller reports that the carburetor has been recently rebuilt and the battery replaced.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Muncie four-speed manual transmission and Positraction differential with 4.10:1 gearing.
