This 1969 Jeep Jeepster Commando was purchased by the seller in 2016, and it was subsequently repainted and modified. This 1969 Jeep Jeepster Commando was purchased by the seller in 2016, and it was subsequently repainted and modified. The exterior was refinished in white, Dana axles were fitted, and a 231ci Buick V6 was installed and paired with its three-speed manual transmission. Additional modifications include aftermarket 15″ wheels with 33″ BFGoodrich tires, a swing-out rear tire carrier, a Hell Creek 4″ suspension lift, a custom-made roll cage, a bikini top, an Alpine stereo, teakwood floor slats, power-assisted steering and front disc brakes, and a dual exhaust system with MagnaFlow mufflers.
The body was repainted in white during current ownership, and a custom roll bar was installed along with an aftermarket tire carrier, a receiver hitch, and a black bikini top. The truck is not fitted with doors or mirrors, yet a set of factory doors is included in the sale.
Aftermarket 15″ steel wheels wear 33×10.5″ BFGoodrich Mud-Terrain T/A KO2 tires. The seller states that the suspension is modified with a 4″ lift from Hell Creek, and a steering stabilizer was fitted along with power-assisted steering and front disc brakes. The ball joints, wheel bearings, and the right rear axle shaft were replaced in October 2019.
The cab features seating trimmed in black and white vinyl, along with a floor coated in black bed-liner material. Additional equipment includes wooden floor slats and an Alpine Bluetooth-compatible stereo.
The two-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a gold-painted dashboard and a 110-mph speedometer. The seller notes that the factory coolant temperature gauge does not work, and an aftermarket gauge has been installed below the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows under 5,800 miles, approximately 3k of which were added by the seller. Total mileage is unknown.
The seller installed a 231ci Buick V6 that was reportedly rebuilt during prior ownership. Modifications are said to include:
