This 1969 Plymouth Road Runner hardtop is finished in yellow over a black interior and powered by a 383ci V8 paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a 3.23:1 rear differential, 15″ five-spoke Cragar wheels, front disc brakes, black hood stripes, chrome trim, and an aftermarket CD stereo. The seller acquired the car in September 2020 from a previous owner after a refurbishment was completed in January 2017. Work completed as part of the refurbishment reportedly consisted of repairing and repainting the body as well as rebuilding the engine and fitting an aftermarket camshaft, Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads and intake manifold, and a Holly 750 carburetor.
The car was reportedly repainted in its current shade of yellow as part of the 2017 refurbishment and features a dual-exit exhaust with polished finishers, a vented hood, black hood stripes, “Road Runner” badging, and vent windows. Chrome trim adorns the front and rear bumpers, side mirrors, grille, and window surrounds. The seller notes the emergency lights do not function, and the trunk lock and key have been replaced.
Five-spoke 15″ Cragar wheels wear BFGoodrich tires up front and Mickey Thompson tires at the rear. Front disc-brakes with drilled rotors are installed.
The front and rear bench seats are upholstered in black and complimented by a matching dashboard, door panels, headliner, and carpets. Amenities include a floor-mounted shifter, a glovebox, manually-operated windows, lap belts for all occupants, and a fire extinguisher.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 120-mph horizontal speedometer, aftermarket 8k rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The seller notes the fuel gauge only reads half full when the fuel tank is full. The five-digit mechanical odometer shows 73k miles.
The 383ci V8 is said to have been rebuilt as part of the refurbishment and fitted with an aftermarket camshaft, Edelbrock aluminum cylinder heads, an Edelbrock intake manifold, and a Holly 750 carburetor. The fender tag has been removed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a 3.23:1 Sure Grip rear differential.
