This 1970 Chevrolet Camaro coupe, known as The Scramjet, underwent cosmetic and mechanical modifications completed in 2016 by Penfound Design of Elyria, Ohio. Finished in matte white over orange and black leather upholstery, the car is powered by a 7.0-liter LS7 V8 mated to a four-speed automatic transmission. Features include a hand-formed nose and rear spoiler, fabricated bumpers and lighting, Art Morrison chassis sections, 19” Hot Rods by Boyd wheels, SSBC disc brakes, a Ridetech adjustable air suspension, Corbeau sport seats with racing harnesses, and a Kenwood touchscreen infotainment system.
The car left the factory in Classic Copper (67) and was refinished in matte white with orange pinstriping and a gloss white center stripe. Features include a hand-formed nose and rear spoiler, motorized vents on the fenders, B-pillar, and hood, bumpers reportedly sourced from a 1971 Corvette, C4 ZR-1 taillights, and a single center-mounted exhaust outlet.
Hot Rods by Boyd 19” wheels feature dark gray centers and silver-finished spokes and are mounted with 235/35 front and 255/35 rear Toyo Proxes tires. The car is equipped with a Ridetech adjustable air suspension and stopping power is provided by an SSBC disc brake kit.
The cabin features Corbeau sport seats trimmed in black and orange leather with “Scramjet” embossed in the seat backs. The dashboard, door panels, and center console are upholstered in orange leather, and amenities include power-operated windows and locks, air conditioning, and a Kenwood touchscreen infotainment system. The rear seats have been replaced by storage compartments, and the remote start, climate control, stereo, lighting, window, and lock functions can be controlled through a smartphone application.
An aftermarket yoke-style steering wheel features a Chevrolet emblem. No odometer is present, and total mileage is unknown.
The 7.0-liter LS7 V8 is fitted with an orange engine cover, a silver-finished intake manifold, and an aluminum radiator and air intake pipe. A fluid service was performed in preparation for sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4L80E four-speed automatic transmission.
