This 1970 Ford F-250 was acquired in 2019 by its current owner, who subsequently performed a restoration that included a repaint in its factory Boxwood Green and Wimbledon White, reupholstery of the interior in green cloth and vinyl, and refinishing the frame among other work. Power is provided by a 360ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Features include a replacement Super Cooling radiator, later-model power steering components, refreshed Dana 44 HD and Dana 60 axles, and an under-bed storage compartment. Maintenance performed in December 2021 reportedly included a tune-up and fluid changes.
The body was stripped to bare metal and coated with epoxy and polyester primers before being finished in two-tone single stage paint according to the seller. Several replacement body panels are said to have been sourced from a 1970 F-250 donor, and an aftermarket right floor pan was installed. The grille and other trim were reportedly stripped of their anodizing, polished, and sealed, and the weatherstripping were replaced. The truck features Ranger trim, towing mirrors, and an under-bed storage compartment on the right.
The 16″ steel wheels were powder-coated in Oyster white and mounted with 255/85 Toyo Open Country M/T tires in December 2021. A matching spare is housed in the bed, which is coated in Vortex spray-on liner. The brakes were rebuilt and their components replaced, while replacement steering components include a gearbox and pump that were reportedly sourced from a 1978 4×4 F-series pickup.
The cab houses a bench seat upholstered in green vinyl with patterned cloth inserts. Faux woodgrain trim accents the instrument cluster, and molded carpet cover the floors. A new firewall pad and sound deadening material were installed along with a dash pad cover and replacement dash speaker for the Philco AM radio. The wiring was also cleaned and rewrapped.
A stock steering wheel with a horn ring sits ahead of a 100-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level, alternator charging status, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 9k miles. Total mileage is unknown.
The 360ci FE-series V8 is said to have been fitted with replacement seals and repainted under current ownership. The core support was refinished using a two-part ceramic coating, and a Super Cooling radiator was fitted. A tune-up and fluid changes were performed in December 2021.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through an NP435 four-speed manual gearbox and a Dana 24 two-speed transfer case, which have been resealed and coated in red oxide-style paint. New seals and gaskets were also fitted for the Dana 44 HD front axle and Dana 60 rear end according to the seller. The chassis was sandblasted and coated with two-part Ceramic Chassis Black and 3M cavity wax is said to have been applied to the underbody.
