This 1970 Marcos GT 3-Litre is finished in yellow over black and is powered by a 3.0-liter Volvo B30 inline-six paired with a four-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes a fiberglass body mounted to a steel chassis as well as a manual sunroof, 13″ wheels, fixed bucket seats, adjustable pedals, AVO adjustable shocks, and a three-spoke steering wheel. The car was delivered new to Sonach Precision Industries of Ontario, Canada, and spent time in Texas prior to the seller’s acquisition in 2002. Service during current ownership is said to have consisted of rebuilding the carburetors, cleaning the fuel tank, and replacing the water pump, radiator, and silicone hoses as well as the clutch and brake master cylinders.
The fiberglass body is refinished in yellow and details include four covered round headlamps, an offset hood bulge, a manual sunroof, and black bumpers.
The 13″ wheels wear Marcos center caps and 185/70 Falken tires. The suspension is said to have been modified with AVO adjustable shocks. The factory Marcos active handling shocks will accompany the car.
The cockpit has reportedly been reupholstered in black with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include fixed bucket seats, adjustable pedals, and a three-spoke steering wheel. The radio and interior light do not work.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a Smiths speedometer and tachometer along with centrally mounted auxiliary gauges and rocker switches. The tachometer was reportedly rebuilt by Nisonger Instruments, and the fuel gauge and steering column are said to have been replaced. The five-digit odometer shows 31k miles.
The 3.0-liter Volvo B30 inline-six features twin carburetors and was rated at 140 horsepower when new. Service is said to have included rebuilding the carburetors, and replacing the water pump, radiator, and silicone hoses as well as the clutch and brake master cylinders. The seller notes that an electronic ignition has been installed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Volvo M400 four-speed manual transmission. The seller notes that the fuel tank was cleaned and lined, and a replacement electric fuel pump and sending unit were installed.
The Delivery Note lists initial delivery to Sonach Precision Industries of Ontario, Canada as well as factory colors, options, and a total price of $4,332.
