The 400ci V8 breathes through a single four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 350 horsepower. The fuel tank was cleaned, and the fuel pump, sending unit, lines and hoses, radiator, thermostat, battery, spark plugs, ignition wires, cap, and rotor were replaced at Ron Catt Auto Care in Huntington Beach, California in 2019.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission.
