This 1971 Chevrolet C40 was built from the factory as a flatbed and is said to have been used as a farm truck in the Pacific Northwest before a previous owner shortened the frame, installed a pickup bed, and refinished the exterior in two-tone green and white around 2019. A small-block V8 is paired with a four-speed manual transmission, and the interior features a bench seat with green upholstery and houndstooth inserts. Other features include aftermarket 19.5″ 10-lug wheels, a dually rear axle, dual exhaust, side steps, and an AM radio.
The truck is said to have been refinished in its current two-tone green and white color scheme in 2019, at which time the frame was shortened and a C10 truck bed was installed in place of the previous flatbed. Features include front fender flares, a white front bumper, a chrome rear bumper, side steps, and dual exhaust that terminates under the sides of the bed behind the rear axle.
Aftermarket 19.5″ 10-lug wheels are mounted with 285/70 Yokohama RY023 tires. Braking is provided by unassisted drums at each corner, and the truck utilizes a dually rear axle.
The interior features a bench seat with green upholstery and green houndstooth inserts. Lighter green carpeting covers the floors, and the dashboard and doors match the exterior. A GM/Delco AM radio is mounted in the factory location. A handle for the emergency brake is positioned adjacent to the four-speed shifter. Some switches are missing from the dashboard, the glovebox liner has been taped, and wear is noted on the dashboard as well as the door panels.
A three-spoke steering wheel frames instrumentation that includes a 100-mph speedometer and gauges to monitor the battery, temperature, oil pressure, and fuel level. An additional gauge for battery status has been added beneath the dashboard. The five-digit odometer shows 97k miles.
Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission.
