This 1971 Chevrolet Nova was acquired by the seller approximately five years ago and has since been modified with a 6.0-liter GM LQ4 V8 equipped with Dart Pro 1 cylinder heads, a FAST intake manifold, and a custom Borla exhaust. The exterior is finished in metallic gray and black with red stripes, and additional features include a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission, a four-link rear suspension, tubbed rear wheel wells, four-wheel disc brakes, Viking adjustable front coilovers, a roll cage, and bolstered black leather seats with harness pass-throughs.
The exterior was repainted its current black, metallic gray, and red color scheme during prior ownership. The rear wheel wells have been tubbed, and additional features include LSX badging and upgraded headlights, along with a black-painted driver’s side-view mirror, bumpers, grille, and trim. A crack in the windshield and paint chips are noted by the seller.
Black-finished 17” wheels are wrapped in 245/40 Sumitomo tires up front and 315/35 Nitto NT05R rubber out back. The brake system features a Wilwood power booster along with four-wheel discs with cross-drilled front rotors and KORE3 C6 Corvette-spec rear units. Suspension modifications include the following:
The cabin features aftermarket bolstered front bucket seats trimmed in black leather with red stitching along with a matching dashboard, door panels, and carpets. A roll cage with door bars has been added, along with an aftermarket shifter and faux carbon fiber trim. Speakers are mounted in the kick panels, though the seller notes that no stereo is currently fitted. A crack in the dashboard can be seen.
An aftermarket metal three-spoke steering wheel sits ahead of a faux carbon fiber instrument panel housing AutoMeter Cobalt instrumentation including a 10k-rpm tachometer, a 160-mph speedometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer shows just under 8k miles, around 2k of which have been added during current ownership. Total mileage is unknown.
The 6.0-liter GM LQ4 V8 has reportedly been fitted with ported 62L Dart Pro 1 cylinder heads, as well as a FAST intake manifold with a 102mm throttle body, Kooks long-tube headers, and a Cam Motion camshaft with custom-ground lobes. An ECU tune was performed by Speed Inc. of Schaumburg, Illinois, and additional equipment includes the following:
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 4L60E four-speed automatic transmission, an aluminum driveshaft, and rear axle housing a 9” differential with Strange 3.73:1 gears and 35-spline axle shafts. Additional features include a Sonnax Smart-Tech input housing, an upgraded transmission cooler, and a 3,200-rpm stall converter.
