This 1971 Porsche 911E coupe is finished in red over a black interior and powered by a refurbished 2.2-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. The car left the factory finished in Albert Blue (18), and during prior ownership fiberglass bodywork and a whale-tail rear spoiler were added and the car was refinished in red. Equipment includes dual side-view mirrors, polished door handles, 911S badging, pop-out rear windows, and a single polished exhaust outlet. Rust and bubbling is noted on the hood and door bottoms, and blemishes in the paint are visible around the body.
Staggered-width 16″ Fuchs wheels are polished with black-painted pockets and wear Dunlop SP Sport D40 M2 tires up front and Yokohama Avid Envigor tires out back. Braking is provided by four-wheel discs with cross-drilled rotors fitted in front.
The cabin is trimmed in black and fitted with flat door panels and front seats sourced from a 911SC model. Equipment includes crank windows and an aftermarket Pioneer cassette stereo, and the rear seats and trim have been removed and a partial roll cage has been installed. A split seam is noted in the shifter knob, and wear is visible on the driver’s seat side bolster.
The three-spoke MOMO Cavallino 350mm steering wheel features a yellow centering stripe and frames a centrally mounted tachometer, a 150-mph speedometer, and an analog clock, along with gauges for fuel level, oil level, oil temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 18k miles.
The replacement 2.2-liter flat-six was removed and reportedly refurbished with new main and rod bearings shortly after the seller’s acquisition due to piston ring damage in cylinder number three. It is said to feature a 2.0L 911S engine casing, a modified 2.0L crank, and 2.2L pistons and cylinder heads. An MSD electronic ignition system is fitted, and the engine breathes through dual three-barrel Weber carburetors with auxiliary venturis and K&N air cleaner housings.
