This 1972 BMW Bavaria is finished in Fjord Metallic over dark blue upholstery and powered by a 3.0-liter inline-six mated with a three-speed automatic transmission. This example was ordered in Fjord Metallic and refinished during prior ownership. Exterior equipment includes chrome-accented bumpers, polished trim, and hood vents.
Alloy 14″ wheels with Roundel center caps are mounted with 205/70 Lionhart LH-501 tires that were installed during current ownership. Additional recent service is said to include replacement of the strut mounts and brake components.
The seating surfaces are trimmed in dark blue upholstery with textured inserts and matching headrests, door panels, and floor mats. Amenities include wood dashboard trim and a factory Becker Europa II stereo with aftermarket Bluetooth, USB, and voice-control integration. The driver’s seat bottom was repaired to address a tear, the front seat belts were replaced, and the air-conditioning system was overhauled during current ownership.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation consisting of a rebuilt 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows under 61k miles.
The 3.0-liter inline-six sends power to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. Maintenance performed over the last two years included overhauling the radiator and rebuilding the axles as well as replacing the head gasket, oil pan gasket, and coolant and power steering hoses. The oil was most recently changed in July 2021.
Records indicate the exhaust resonator, muffler, and chrome-finished exhaust tips were replaced in October 2019,.
Manufacturer’s literature, a stamped maintenance log, partial service records dating to the 1990s, and a factory tool kit are included in the sale.
