This 1972 Dodge Demon was acquired by the seller in 2020 and subsequently refurbished and modified. Magnum 500-style 14″ wheels wear 205/70 front and 225/70 rear BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The car is equipped with front disc brakes, and the seller states that a DoctorDiff brake master cylinder and a rebuilt steering box have been installed. Service during the refurbishment reportedly included overhauling the braking and suspension systems.
The interior features front and rear bench seats that were reupholstered in black, and the seller states that the replacement seat covers, door panels, carpet, and headliner were sourced from Legendary Auto Interiors. A Jensen CD stereo with Bluetooth connectivity is installed.
An aftermarket steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer and additional gauges for amperage, coolant temperature, and fuel level. Additional aftermarket gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, and coolant temperature are mounted below the dash. The seller notes that the factory fuel gauge is inoperable. The five-digit odometer shows 22k miles, and total mileage is unknown.
The factory slant-six was removed and replaced with a 360ci V8 that was reportedly resealed prior to being installed during the 2020 refurbishment. Modifications include an Edelbrock intake manifold, electronic ignition, a Champion four-row radiator, and a Carter Competition Series carburetor. Work performed during the refurbishment is said to have included replacing the K-frame, fuel tank, and fuel sending unit.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a 727 three-speed automatic transmission that was reportedly rebuilt and modified with a TransGo shift kit. The seller states that the car is equipped with a replacement driveshaft and an 8.75″ differential.
