This 1973 Chevrolet C20 is a Fleetside pickup that was refurbished under prior ownership with a 350ci V8 and a three-speed automatic transmission, a rebuild of the differential, a repaint of the exterior, and an overhaul of the cabin. The truck is finished in black and gray over matching two-tone vinyl upholstery, and it features 17″ American Racing wheels, tinted windows, air conditioning, and a Bluetooth-capable Alpine stereo.
The exterior was repainted to its present scheme of two-tone black and gray under prior ownership. Features include chrome bumpers and side mirrors, tinted windows, and an eight-foot bed. During the refurbishment, the windows, rubber trim, brightwork, fenders, and hood were replaced, and spray-in liner was applied to the bed.
Polished 17″ American Racing wheels are fitted with 265/60 front and 275/60 rear Toyo Proxes ST tires. Braking is handled by front discs and rear drums, and the pads, calipers, rotors, and rear shoes were replaced in 2019. The truck was equipped from the factory with the 8,200-lb GVWR package.
The cabin features a re-trimmed black and gray leather bench seat and a replacement black dashboard, door panels, carpets, and rubber floor mats. Additional appointments include sound deadening material, metal dash trim, crank windows, lap belts, a three-spoke Volante steering wheel mounted to an Ididit adjustable column, and air conditioning. The Bluetooth-capable Alpine CD stereo features a USB input and is connected to an Arc Audio amplifier and a JL Audio subwoofer. A Garmin navigation unit is mounted to the dash.
Replacement Classic Instrument instrumentation includes a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. According to the seller, the GPS sending unit for the speedometer does not work. The six-digit mechanical odometer shows 2 miles, and around 50 miles have reportedly been driven under current ownership. True mileage is unknown.
The Chevrolet 350ci V8 was purchased from Tognotti’s Auto World in Sacramento, California, and features cast aluminum pistons, four-bolt mains, and 8.5:1 compression as well as a Holley four-barrel carburetor. The radiator was replaced and the air conditioning system was overhauled in 2019.
Power is sent to rear wheels through a replacement three-speed TH400 automatic transmission and a rear axle with a 3.42:1 gearing that was rebuilt in 2019.
The truck is supplied with manufacturer’s literature and a binder containing refurbishment receipts.
