The car was refinished in black during a refurbishment that concluded in early 2017, a process that is said to have included soda blasting the body and replacing the trunk and interior floors as well as the right rear quarter panel. Silver stripes were added before the clearcoat stage, and other features include an integrated rear spoiler, dual exhaust, LED headlights, side mirrors with body-color housings, split front bumpers, a front lip spoiler, Z28 badging, and bright trim.
Gray-finished 15″ wheels with polished lips are mounted with 235/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The front disc and rear drum brakes were replaced during the refurbishment along with the shocks and springs, and polyurethane bushings reportedly were added at that time.
The cabin features reupholstered front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl that extends to the door panels. The carpeting, seat foam, and headliner reportedly were replaced during the refurbishment. Other equipment includes air conditioning, a push-button AM radio, manual windows, and rubber floor mats. The air conditioner is said to function only on the high setting.
A four-spoke steering wheel frames replacement Dakota instrumentation consisting of a 160-mph speedometer and an 8k-rpm tachometer. The seller states that the digital odometer has not been set up, and true mileage is unknown; a removed speedometer/odometer is included in the sale.
The 350ci V8 was refreshed under prior ownership. Components reportedly replaced or repaired during the refurbishment include the carburetor, intake manifold, hoses, A/C compressor, power-steering pump, battery, fuel tank, fuel lines, and fuel pump. An Edelbrock air cleaner, an in-line fuel filter, and an MSD distributor were added.
The engine-pad stamping ends in 3N149600, matching the final characters of the car’s chassis number. The stamping on the opposite side of the pad shows the suffix CLK, which is consistent with a 350ci V8 rated at 245 horsepower and paired with a four-barrel carburetor and an automatic transmission.
Power is routed to the rear wheels via a three-speed Turbo 350 automatic transmission and a modified 10-bolt Positraction rear axle with 4.11:1 gearing.
