The car was acquired by the seller in 2013, reportedly from the second owner.
The 1978 Corvette featured wrap-around rear glass and a revised roofline when compared to earlier models, and this 25th Anniversary edition is finished in two-tone silver and gray with gray pinstriping. Additional equipment includes body-colored removable T-top panels, pop-up headlamps, anniversary badging, and dual sport mirrors.
Factory 15” aluminum wheels are mounted with 225/70 white-letter BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. Four-wheel independent suspension and disc brakes were standard equipment.
The seats are trimmed in black leather along with a matching dash, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include power windows and locks, a tilt steering wheel, an AM/FM stereo with an 8-track player, Corvette-branded floor mats, and air conditioning, which is said to have been converted to use R134a refrigerant.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a 140-mph and a 7k-rpm tachometer while gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil pressure, and voltage are housed in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 20k miles.
The 350ci L82 V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was factory-rated at 220 horsepower with 260 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission. An oil change was performed approximately six months ago.
