The current owner is said to have acquired the truck in the 1980s and has since performed a cosmetic and mechanical refurbishment. Equipment includes amber-tinted clearance lights, manually-locking front hubs, 16” steel wheels, a push-button stereo, air conditioning, and power windows.
The body was removed from the frame prior to receiving a repaint in two-tone tan and cream that was completed in 2010. Additional work involved replacement of the lower rear quarter panels and hood, and exterior details include a chrome front grille and bumpers, a split tailgate with an electric window, and Silverado fender badging.
White-painted 16” steel wheels wear Chevrolet hubcaps and are mounted with 265/75 Uniroyal Laredo tires. The front axle is equipped with manually-locking hubs, and stopping power is provided by discs up front and drum brakes in the rear.
The bench seats are trimmed in tan cloth and vinyl along with matching carpeting, door panels, and a body-colored two-tone dash. Amenities include front and rear air conditioning, power steering, power windows, a push-button stereo, and cruise control. The headliner was replaced during the refurbishment.
The two-spoke tilt steering wheel fronts a 100-mph speedometer, a 5k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges for voltage, oil pressure, fuel level, and coolant temperature. The five-digit odometer shows 96k miles.
The replacement 350ci V8 was installed under current ownership and features a blue-painted long block assembly.
Power is sent to the rear or all-four wheels through a three-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
