This 1981 Chevrolet Corvette was acquired by the seller in 2011 and subsequently refurbished and modified in 2015. Work included a repaint in yellow and installation of a White Performance 383ci stroker V8 and a TCI Automotive TH350 three-speed automatic transmission. Features include custom etched glass, an under-hood mural, a FAST fuel injection system, MSD ignition, Magnaflow mufflers, air conditioning, a Pioneer CD player, and more as described below.
The body has been refinished in yellow and is equipped with removable glass T-top panels. The glass has been etched with a woodland floral motif, and a mural has been painted on the underside of the hood. The Carfax report notes instances of “minor damage” to all sides of the car in 2015 and 2016.
Slotted 15″ alloy wheels are wrapped in 255/60 BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires. The car is equipped with Bilstein dampers and Energy Suspension polyurethane bushings. The 2015 refurbishment also reportedly included replacing the brake calipers and installing SSBC rotors and Hawk pads.
The cabin is trimmed in black and features leather bucket seats. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, power aLessories, Corvette-logo floor mats, and a Pioneer CD player. A FAST fuel injection controller is mounted to the right of the steering column.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 7k-rpm tachometer and a 140-mph speedometer. Gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, oil temperature, oil pressure, and voltage are mounted in the center stack. The five-digit odometer shows 67k miles.
A 383ci White Performance small-block V8 was installed in 2015 and is equipped with a FAST fuel injection system, MSD ignition, March Performance pulleys, Hedman Performance Group headers, Magnaflow Mufflers, high-torque starter, and DeWitts aluminum radiator with dual fans. The power steering pump, alternator, and air conditioning compressor were also replaced during the install.
The seller states that a TCI Automotive TH350 three-speed automatic transmission and 3.55:1 rear-end gearing have been installed.
