This 1982 Porsche 911SC Targa was purchased new by the seller in August 1981 from Capitol Motors of Frankfurt, Germany, and subsequently imported to Florida where it has remained since. This 1982 Porsche 911SC Targa was purchased new by the seller in August 1981 from Capitol Motors of Frankfurt, Germany, and subsequently imported to Florida where it has remained since. The car is finished in Indischrot red over black leather and is powered by a 3.0-liter flat-six paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. The car is finished in Indischrot (G1) and features a removable Targa roof panel, fog lights, headlight washers, dual side mirrors, and US-spec lighting and bumpers. The seller states that the car was involved in a rear-end collision with another vehicle in June 1989 that required replacement of the rear bumper, decklid, and taillights.
Black-finished 15″ cookie cutter wheels wear Porsche-crest center caps along with anodized lips and are mounted with Yokohama Avid T4 tires measuring 205/60 up front and 215/60 out back. A spare tire is stored in the front trunk, and braking is handled by discs at all four corners. Work performed in February 2021 at All Euro Car Care of Jacksonville, Florida, reportedly included repair of the brake calipers as well as replacement of the brake fluid, flex lines, and pads.
The cabin is trimmed in black leather with a matching dash, carpeting, and door panels. Additional interior equipment includes a Sony cassette stereo, a heater, and power windows. The seller notes cracking in the driver’s seat cover, and a tear is visible in the passenger seat cushion. The sun visors have been removed and are included in the sale.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation including a centrally-mounted 7k-rpm tachometer, an 85-mph speedometer, an analog clock, and auxiliary gauges. The odometer shows 62k miles.
The air-cooled 3.0L flat-six is equipped with Bosch fuel injection and was factory rated at 180 horsepower and 175 lb-ft of torque when new.
