This 1983 Chevrolet K30 pickup was acquired by the seller in 2017 and repainted in its current shade of gray as part of an exterior refurbishment in 2020. Power is provided by a 454ci V8 mated to a four-speed manual transmission and dual-range transfer case, and additional equipment includes 16″ black steel wheels, front disc brakes, black painted bumpers, a rear hitch receiver, a black cloth bench seat, and an aftermarket push-button radio. The seller has added a Timbren rear overload suspension kit, and the exhaust system, radiator, and rear springs were reportedly replaced.
The truck was previously painted white and is said to have been refinished in Chrysler Destroyer Grey as part of a 2020 exterior refurbishment that included removal of the glass and truck bed as well as rust repairs to the body. A portion of the rear bed side was also repaired, and replacement fender liners, bumper brackets, and satin black painted bumpers were installed at the time of the refurbishment.
Black painted 16″ steel wheels feature GMC hub caps and wear Yokahama Geolander mud-terrain tires. The truck is equipped with a rear hitch receiver, a Timbren rear overload suspension kit, replacement rear springs, and manually-locking front hubs. Stopping power is provided by disc brakes up front with drums in the rear.
The interior features seating upholstered in black cloth with a matching dash top, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes a body-colored lower dash, floor-mounted gear lever and transfer case selector, lap belts, rubber floor mats, and an aftermarket push-button radio.
A Grant wood-rimmed steering wheel features a black center section and fronts an 85-mph speedometer and gauges for battery voltage, oil pressure, and coolant temperature. The odometer shows 34k miles, approximately 5k of which have been added by the seller. The Carfax report notes a “Not Actual Mileage” title was issued in 2001. Total mileage is unknown.
The 454ci V8 is equipped with a four-barrel carburetor and was factory rated at 230 horsepower and 360 lb-ft of troupe. The seller has replaced the radiator and battery, and an oil change was completed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear or all four wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case.
