The 5.0-liter DOHC V8 features four valves per cylinder and was factory rated at 288 horsepower when new, and power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. The timing belt and water pump were replaced in 2016, and service since 2020 included performing an oil change, rebuilding the air pump and the torque tube, and flushing the power-steering fluid, along with replacement of the fan belt, starter, throwout bearing, engine mounts, fuel lines, air intake tubes, and clutch and hydraulic cylinders.
