This 1986 Buick Grand National is finished in black over a two-tone interior, and during prior ownership a turbocharged and intercooled 6.2-liter LS3 V8 was installed and paired with a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission. Additional modifications include a Fuel Air Spark Technology fuel-injection system, a Turbonetics wastegate and blow-off valve, Hotchkis suspension components, Strange Engineering disc brakes, widened rear wheels, window tinting, a Hurst shifter, and leather interior accents. It was purchased by the current owner in April 2017, and recent service included an oil change.
The car is finished in black with matching trim and equipped with front and rear spoilers along with Grand National badges on the fenders and trunk lid. The Carfax lists damage occurring to the front of the vehicle in May 2008, with no further information provided.
The rear 15″ wheels were widened, and BFGoodrich Radial T/A tires are mounted all around. Strange Engineering disc brakes are fitted at all four corners, and the suspension is modified with Hotchkis components.
The seats are trimmed in black cloth upholstery with replacement gray leather inserts, and features include power windows and locks as well as a Hurst shifter and a Kenwood media unit. Dynamat has been installed throughout the interior, and boost pressure and fuel pressure gauges mounted in pods affixed on the A-pillar.
The trunk is lined with Dynamat insulation, and it also houses the relocated battery, a Flaming River disconnect switch, and a pair of JL Audio subwoofers.
Dakota Digital gauges are recessed within the stock housing and feature a digital odometer indicating that 4k miles, which is said to represent the distance driven since completion of the build. True mileage is unknown.
The 6.2-liter LS3 V8 was sourced from a 2010 Chevrolet Camaro, and modifications are said to include a 76mm Turbonetics ball bearing turbo accompanied by an intercooler, a Turbonetics wastegate and blow-off valve, custom piping for the intake manifold and intercooler. The engine features a Fuel Air Spark Technology fuel-injection system equipped with 60lb injectors, an external high pressure fuel pump, a custom-fabricated exhaust, and a wiring harness kit sourced from Painless Wiring. An oil change was completed in February 2021.
Dynamometer test results from July 2016 logged a peak output of 569.8 horsepower.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec TR6060 six-speed manual transmission linked to a custom-fabricated driveshaft and rear axles sourced from Strange Engineering.
