Features include a removable roof panel, front spoilers, 16” Ruote O.Z. wheels, a gated shifter, air conditioning, and an aftermarket Pioneer CD stereo. The car reportedly remained in the same family before it was purchased by the seller in 2006, and subsequent work included refinishing the red exterior and reupholstering the black interior.
The Bertone-designed Jalpa was produced between 1981 and 1988, and this example was refinished in its current shade of red during current ownership. Features include a removable roof panel, pop-up headlights, fog lights, and quad exhaust outlets. Additional work performed during current ownership included replacement of the front spoilers.
Ruote O.Z. 16” wheels feature Lamborghini-logo center caps and are mounted with a mix of 205/55 Pirelli front and 245/45 Kumho rear tires.
The cabin features bucket seats that were reupholstered in black with red piping, and matching upholstery covers the door panels. Amenities include air conditioning, a gated shifter, power windows, a Jaeger digital clock, and an aftermarket Pioneer CD stereo. An ignition cutoff switched is affixed to the dashboard, according to the seller.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames Jaeger instrumentation consisting of a 280-km/h speedometer, a 9k-rpm tachometer, and gauges displaying oil pressure, coolant temperature, oil temperature, and fuel level. Under 63k kilometers (~39k miles) are shown on the five-digit odometer.
The 3.5-liter quad-cam V8 was factory rated at 250 horsepower, which is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle. The seller reports replacement of the catalytic converter in April 2000, and replacement of the clutch components in May 2004.
