This 1986 Mercedes-Benz 560SL was purchased new by the seller’s mother on September 24th, 1986 from Palmer Import Motors in Long Beach, California and was acquired by the seller in the state in April 2013. The car is finished in silver over beige leather and is powered by a 5.5-liter V8 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes a dark brown convertible top, a body-color removable hardtop, automatic climate control, front fog lights, chrome-plated 15″ Gullideckel wheels, and a modified Becker radio that supports Apple CarPlay. The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames VDO instrumentation that includes a 170-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. An ambient thermometer is mounted in the center stack, and the six-digit odometer shows 144k miles, approximately 13k of which were added by the seller.
The 5.5-liter M117 V8 was factory rated at 227 horsepower and 279 lb-ft of torque. The seller states that the fuel aLumulator was replaced under current ownership, and records show the oil was last changed in April 2021.
