The car was first registered in Illinois and spent time in Alabama before being acquired by the seller and relocated to Tennessee in October 2020. Subsequent work has reportedly included fluid changes, replacement of the water pump, timing belt and tensioner, distributor cap, spark plugs and wires, and valve cover gasket, and installation of H&R sport springs with Koni shocks and struts.
The car is finished in Royal Blue Metallic (198) and features a black soft top, fog lights, chrome trim, and body-color side mirrors.
The top cover gas struts and front and rear BMW roundels are said to have been replaced in preparation for the sale.

The seller states that H&R springs have been installed along with Koni shocks and struts, replacement strut tower bearings, and replacement rear upper shock mounts. The cabin features beige leatherette upholstery on the seats with matching door panels and carpets as well as a black dashboard and center console. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, a Bravo CD stereo, a trip computer, and power windows. The seller notes cracks in the dashboard and states that the shift knob, shifter bushings, and floor mats were replaced under current ownership. The onboard computer was rebuilt with a new LED screen and lighting module under current ownership. The cruise control does not work and the air conditioning does not blow cold air.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a VDO gauge cluster featuring a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 122k miles.
The 2.5-liter M20 inline-six was rated at 168 horsepower and 164 lb-ft of torque when new and features Bosch fuel injection. Services said to have been performed in preparation for the sale include an oil change and replacement of the water pump, air filter, distributor cap, rotor, plug wires, spark plugs, valve cover gasket, a valve adjustment, and timing belt and tensioner.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and limited-slip differential. The seller states that the rear of the exhaust system was replaced along with the muffler under current ownership.
