This E28 was factory finished in Royal Blue (198) and has been repainted under current ownership. 535is models were factory-equipped with a rear spoiler and an M5-style front valance with integrated fog lamps.
Style 134 16″ wheels from a later BMW are wrapped in 225/55 Pirelli Cinturato Strada tires with date codes from 2017. The car is fitted with a sport suspension and four-wheel disc brakes.
The cabin is equipped with power-adjustable sport seats upholstered Lama leather (0209) along with matching door panels and a contrasting black dashboard. Equipment includes power windows, air conditioning, a Kenwood CD stereo, and an onboard computer. The driver’s seat shows aging and wear, and some warping is noted on the dash.
VDO instrumentation includes a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 114k miles, approximately 60k of which have been added by the seller. The seller states the car has accumulated approximately 10k miles that are not reflected on the odometer, and total mileage is unknown.
The 3.4-liter M30 inline-six was factory rated at 182 horsepower and 215 lb-ft of torque. A replacement hood insulation pad was installed at the time of exterior paintwork. The last California smog check was performed in 2019.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited slip differential.
