This 1987 Buick Grand National was acquired new by the late owner, and it now shows 41k miles. Finished in black over a gray cloth interior, the car is powered by a turbocharged 3.8-liter V6 paired with a four-speed automatic transmission. Equipment includes 15” wheels, a spoiler, air conditioning, cruise control, and a Delco cassette stereo with a graphic equalizer. The tires, battery, spark plugs, wires, and ignition coils are said to have been replaced in preparation for the sale.
All Grand Nationals were finished in black, and this example features a power-bulge hood, front and rear spoilers, and a body-color grille. The bumper fillers have been replaced and the passenger door is said to have been repainted.
Chrome and black 15″ wheels feature center caps with Grand National logos and are fitted with 235/60 Cooper Cobra tires that reportedly were replaced in preparation for the sale. Power steering and power-assisted front disc brakes were standard equipment.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black and gray cloth with turbo-six logos embroidered on the front headrests. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, a Delco stereo, and Grand National–embroidered floor mats as well as power windows, power mirrors, and power locks.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts a horizontal 85-mph speedometer, a light-up digital tachometer, and gauges for boost pressure and fuel level. The five-digit odometer indicates 41k miles.
The turbocharged and intercooled 3.8-liter V6 was factory rated at 245 horsepower and 355 lb-ft of torque when new. The seller states that the spark plugs, ignition wires, battery, and coil packs were replaced in preparation for the sale, and an oil change also was performed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Turbo-Hydramatic 200R4 four-speed automatic transmission and a limited-slip differential.
Service records dating back to the 1980s, 1988 sales paperwork, and an owner’s manual will accompany the car.
