This 1987 Porsche 944 Turbo is finished in Silver Rose Metallic over a beige leather interior and is powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Additional equipment includes a removable sunroof, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, an Alpine head unit, and 16″ phone dial wheels. The car spent time in Arizona before relocating to Massachusetts where it was acquired by the seller in 2007.
The car has been repainted in factory Silver Rose and features an aerodynamic front fascia with integrated fog lights as well as upper and lower rear spoilers. Additional exterior equipment includes a power tilting and removable sunroof, integrated fog lamps.
Factory 16″ phone dial wheels wear 205/55 front and 225/50 rear Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 tires. The 944 Turbo was equipped with stiffer springs when compared to the standard model, and braking is handled by four-wheel discs. Work performed in August 2019 included installation of replacement brake pads and wear sensors.
The seats are upholstered in beige leather and joined by a matching lower dash, door panels, and carpets. Amenities include a power-adjustable driver’s seat, air conditioning, cruise control, central locking, a fire extinguisher, an Alpine head unit, and power windows.
The four-spoke airbag steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer and a tachometer along with gauges for coolant temperature, fuel level, boost pressure, oil pressure, and voltage. The six-digit odometer shows 81k miles.
The turbocharged 2.5-liter inline-four was factory rated at 220 horsepower and 243 lb-ft of torque. The seller reports that the timing belt was replaced in 2013, and maintenance performed in 2019 included fluid changes and replacement of a lower radiator hose.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a rear-mounted five-speed manual transaxle.
