This 1988 Porsche 928 S4 is powered by a 5.0-liter V8 linked with a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential and is finished in black over a black leather interior. Equipment includes an electric sunroof, a rear spoiler, a modified exhaust system, a Blaupunkt cassette stereo, automatic climate control, power-adjustable front seats, pop-up headlights, and 16″ alloy wheels. The car was initially sold by Holberts Motors in Warrington, Pennsylvania, and spent time in New Jersey, New York, and Pennsylvania before being acquired by the seller in 2017. Subsequent work included recharging the air conditioning system and replacing the timing belt, water pump, fuel lines, ignition wires, fog lights, brake pad sensors, and front and rear struts.
The car is finished in black and features an electric sunroof, a rear spoiler, pop-up headlights, and integrated fog lights. The front of the car and the side mirrors were reportedly repainted under current ownership. Replacement fog lights were installed in May 2020 and a replacement windshield was fitted in July 2021.
Forged 16″ staggered-width alloy wheels feature Porsche center crests and are mounted with Yokohama Advan tires showing 2019 date codes. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel disc brakes, and the car is equipped with front and rear stabilizer bars. The front and rear struts were replaced in July 2020, and the brake pad sensors were replaced in January 2021.
The cockpit features power-adjustable front seats upholstered in black leather and joined by a matching dashboard, center console, carpets, and door panels. Features include a Blaupunkt Reno SQR 46 cassette stereo, automatic climate control, cruise control, a digital clock, central locking, and power mirrors and windows. The air-conditioning system was recharged and the shifter ball assembly and bushings were replaced in July 2020.
The four-spoke steering wheel fronts a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6,300-rpm redline, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil pressure, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows just over 129k miles.
The 5.0-liter DOHC V8 features four valves per cylinder and was factory rated at 316 horsepower and 317 lb-ft of torque. The timing belt, tensioner assembly, water pump, and fuel lines were replaced in May 2018. Work completed in January 2021 included replacing the oil pan gasket and ignition wires.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a dog-leg five-speed manual transaxle with a limited slip differential. The catalytic converters were removed under current ownership, and corrosion is visible on underside components.
