This 1988 Toyota MR2 is powered by a supercharged 1.6-liter inline-four paired with a five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Super Red over black leather. Equipment includes removable glass roof panels, power windows and locks, cruise control, a TRD exhaust manifold, and a radar detector. Service performed in preparation for the sale included changing the oil in the engine and supercharger, replacing the air filter, and flushing the brake fluid and coolant.
The car is finished in Super Red (3E5) and features removable tinted glass roof panels, pop-up headlights, a quarter panel air intake, a rear spoiler, and branded mud flaps in addition to full-length side skirts, color-keyed side mirrors, and a twin-exit exhaust. The seller notes that stone chips have been touched up and there is an area of thin paint on the vented engine cover.
Factory 14″ tear-drop alloy wheels are wrapped in 185/60 Michelin Pilot Exalto A/S tires showing 2012 date codes. Supercharged 1988 models were equipped with a rear anti-roll bar, and the brake fluid was flushed in preparation for the sale.
The cabin features black leather seats with perforated inserts along with matching trim and carpets. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, an AM/FM/cassette stereo, MR2-branded floor mats, and power windows and locks.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 38k miles.
The mid-mounted 1.6-liter 4A-GZE inline-four is equipped with a Roots-type supercharger, a Denso intercooler, and a TRD exhaust manifold. Factory-rated output was 145 horsepower and 137 lb-ft of torque. Service performed in preparation for the sale included changing the engine oil and supercharger oil, replacing the air filter, and flushing the coolant.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle.
