This 1989 Chrysler Conquest TSi is finished in white over a reupholstered black leather interior and is powered by a turbocharged and intercooled 2.6-liter inline-four mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes refinished 16″ alloy wheels, three-piece rear-window louvers, power-retractable headlights, and a hidden Bluetooth audio system. After spending time in Iowa and Arizona, the car was acquired by the seller in 2019, and subsequent work included an interior refurbishment as well as the installation of replacement tires, front strut mounts, and headlights.
The bodywork is finished in white with color-matched bumpers and trim. Corrosion in the wheel wells was addressed in preparation for the sale, at which time a paint correction was performed and decals were removed.
Refinished 16″ alloy wheels with Mitsubishi center caps measure 8″ wide up front and 9″ wide at the rear, and they wear Yokohama Advan A052 tires measuring 225/50 and 245/45 that are said to have been mounted in 2020. The car rides on adjustable dampers fitted with replacement strut mounts under current ownership, and the seller notes that the brakes were serviced in 2020.
Previously burgundy, the cabin was retrimmed in black leather by Top Stitch upholstery of Minneapolis, Minnesota, and the seller added matching carpets and door panels along with a replacement black dashboard. The sport seats feature adjustable lumbar supports and side bolsters, and additional amenities include power accessories, automatic climate control, a rear window defroster, cruise control, and a rear cargo cover. Modifications include retractable seat belts sourced from an earlier model as well as a hidden Bluetooth audio system with a phone button on the dash.
The leather-wrapped multifunction steering wheel frames a 150-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, a central boost gauge, and auxiliary instruments. The six-digit odometer shows 75k miles.
The turbocharged and intercooled 2.6-liter 4G54 inline-four was rated at 188 horsepower and 234 lb-ft of torque when new. An Optima red-top battery is fitted, and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale. A spare Mitsubishi alternator will accompany the car along with four spare NGK spark plugs and Denso plug wires.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission. A spare clutch master cylinder will accompany the car.
