This 1989 Porsche 911 Carrera 4 coupe was purchased new by the seller and is finished in Baltic Blue Metallic over tan leather. The Carrera 4 was the first 964 model introduced in the United States for the 1989 model year, and this example is finished in Baltic Blue Metallic. Equipment includes a sunroof, fog lights, color-keyed bumpers and wheel arch extensions, a power-operated rear spoiler, a rear window wiper, and a single exhaust outlet.
Silver 16″ D90 wheels are wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza S-02 tires. Braking is handled by Porsche-branded four-piston brake calipers at each corner. The front sway bar link boots are torn. The seller notes that the brakes squeak and recommends replacing the brake pads and rotors.
The cabin features seats trimmed in tan leather with a matching center console, door panels, and carpets. Equipment includes power-adjustable front seats, cruise control, an aftermarket Pioneer CD stereo, electric windows, a leather-wrapped shift knob, and rubber floor mats. Wear is noted on the seating surfaces, and a sunroof air deflector hinge was replaced under current ownership.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel fronts VDO instrumentation including a central tachometer, a 180-mph speedometer, a clock, and gauges for oil level, oil pressure, oil temperature, and fuel level. The seller notes that the speedometer and odometer were replaced in 2015, and the six-digit mechanical odometer now shows 140k miles.
The air-cooled 3.6L flat-six was factory rated at 247 horsepower and 228 lb-ft of torque. Service in May 2021 included the replacement of a rubber fuel line and an oil change. A cut-off switch has been installed between the battery and the circuit panel, and a portable battery charger will accompany the car.
Power is sent to all four wheels through a Getrag five-speed manual transaxle. The clutch was replaced in 2009.
