This 1990 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 was purchased new from Dick Milham Chevrolet in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, and was acquired by the seller in January 2017. The car is finished in black over black leather and is powered by a 5.7-liter LT5 V8 mated to a six-speed manual transmission. Features include body-color and transparent removable roof panels, staggered-width 17″ wheels, the FX3 Selective Ride suspension, automatic climate control, power-adjustable sport seats, and a Bose CD/cassette stereo. The starter was replaced in preparation for the sale.
The car is finished in black and features wider rear bodywork and a convex rear fascia when compared to the contemporary Corvette. Equipment includes a glass removable roof panel, fog lamps, and pop-up headlamps. A body-colored removable roof panel also accompanies the car.
Staggered-width 17″ aluminum wheels are mounted with an older set of Goodyear tires measuring 275/40 up front and 315/35 out back. All ZR-1 models were equipped with the FX3 Selective Ride suspension package which featured electronically adjustable Bilstein shock absorbers. Braking is handled by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes.
The power-adjustable sport seats are upholstered in black leather and accompanied by matching carpets and door panels. Amenities include power windows, power locks, and power mirrors as well as a Delco Bose Gold Series sound system with a CD and cassette player. A knob on the center console controls the three-mode adjustable suspension. A switch on the air conditioning compressor was replaced in June 2019 and the driver-side left seat control bezel was replaced in preparation for the sale.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a digital speedometer and fuel level display, a tachometer, and analog gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, and voltage. The digital odometer indicates 12k miles.
The aluminum LT5 5.7-liter DOHC V8 was co-designed by GM and Lotus and built by Mercury Marine. Output was factory rated at 375 horsepower and 370 lb-ft of torque. The oil cooler hoses were replaced under current ownership and the starter was replaced in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF six-speed manual transmission.
The window sticker lists standard equipment, options, and a total vehicle price of $60,310.
