This 1990 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 is finished in black over matching leather and powered by a 32-valve 5.7-liter V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Additional equipment includes staggered-width 17″ wheels, dual removable roof panels, FX3 Selective Ride suspension, power-adjustable sport seats, and a Delco Bose cassette/CD stereo. The car was reportedly part of a dealership’s private collection until it was first sold and registered in Iowa in 2003. The car then spent time in Texas until it was acquired in 2018 by the seller, who titled it in Oregon and subsequently relocated it to Utah. Service in June 2021 included an inspection and an oil and filter change.
The car is finished in Black (41) with matching side moldings and model-specific bodywork including wider rear fenders, a convex rear fascia, and rectangular taillights. Other features include dual removable roof panels, pop-up headlights, fog lights, powered and heated side mirrors, and quad exhaust outlets. The headlight motors were replaced in 2018.
Staggered-width 17″ aluminum wheels are fitted with 275/40 front and 315/35 rear Goodyear Eagle ZR tires. The ZR-1 was equipped with Lotus-tuned three-mode adjustable suspension featuring Bilstein shock absorbers, and braking is handled by anti-lock disc brakes at all four corners.
The power-adjustable sport seats are upholstered in black leather with matching carpets and door panels. Amenities include power windows, locks, and mirrors as well as a Delco Bose Gold Series sound system with CD and cassette players. A knob on the center console controls the three-mode adjustable suspension.
Instrumentation is framed by a leather-wrapped steering wheel and consists of a digital speedometer and fuel level display, a tachometer, and analog gauges for oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, and voltage. The digital odometer indicates 145 miles, approximately 70 of which were added by the seller. The airbag warning light is said to remain illuminated due to a faulty left-front impact sensor.
The all-aluminum LT5 5.7-liter DOHC V8 was co-designed by GM and Lotus and built by Mercury Marine. Output was rated at 375 horsepower and 370 lb-ft of torque when new. Service in 2018 included draining the fuel tank, replacement of a power steering line, and flushing the radiator. An oil change was performed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a ZF six-speed manual transmission. The transmission and differential fluids were changed in 2018.
The window sticker lists standard equipment, options, and a total vehicle price of $60,610.
