This 1990 Chevrolet Corvette ZR-1 is finished in Bright Red over black leather and is powered by a 5.7-liter LT5 V8 paired with a six-speed manual transmission. Equipment includes Selective Ride suspension, the Performance Handling Package, power-adjustable sport seats, automatic climate control, a Delco-Bose stereo, and both paint-matched and tinted-glass removable hardtops. The car was acquired by the seller in June 2021, and subsequent service included performing an oil change, draining and refilling the fuel tank, and replacing the fuel filter, fuel injectors, and battery.
ZR-1 models feature wider quarter panels and a revised tail panel compared to the standard model, and this example is finished in Bright Red with a tinted glass removable roof panel. Additional exterior features include retractable headlights, painted mirror caps, and quad exhaust outlets. A color-matched removable roof panel is also included in the sale.
Staggered-width 17″ wheels are wrapped in older 275/40 front and 315/35 rear Goodyear Eagle Tires. All ZR-1 models were equipped with the FX3 Selective Ride suspension package, which featured electronically adjustable Bilstein shock absorbers. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes.
The cabin features power-adjustable sport seats upholstered in black leather joined by matching door panels and carpets. Appointments include automatic climate control, a trip monitor computer, cruise control, a low tire pressure warning system, and a Delco-Bose stereo with CD and cassette players.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a central digital speedometer and fuel-level display flanked by an analog tachometer with a 7,000-rpm redline and auxiliary gauges indicating oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, and voltage. The digital odometer shows 150 miles.
The aluminum 5.7-liter DOHC LT5 V8 was co-designed by Chevrolet and Lotus, and it was assembled by Mercury Marine in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Output was factory rated at 375 horsepower and 370 lb-ft of torque. The battery was replaced, the fuel tank was drained and refilled, refurbished Bosch fuel injectors were installed, and the oil was changed in June 2021. The oil filter was not changed.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission.
The window sticker lists factory colors and equipment along with a total vehicle price of $60,590.
