The body was refinished in its current shade of red during previous ownership and features a hatchback, a front bumper cover with integrated fog lights, sculpted lower cladding, and a rear decklid spoiler. The seller notes paint chips on the hood as well as a blemish in the paint on the rear bumper, and decals from parts suppliers are affixed on the front bumper and rear hatch.
Silver-finished 16″ Pony wheels are mounted with 225/55 Starfire RS-C 2.0 tires. The Mustang GT came standard with progressive-rate front and rear coil springs and ‘Quadra Shock’ rear dampers, which add an additional pair of horizontally oriented shocks ahead of the rear axle. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features seats upholstered in Titanium leather (CA) along with black accents on the dashboard and door panels. Features include a short-throw shifter, air conditioning, cruise control, a cassette stereo, front seats with power lumbar adjustment, and power windows. The seller states the factory door panel pockets were replaced with vinyl panels.
The leather-wrapped airbag steering wheel frames a 140-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and gauges for coolant temperature, voltage, oil pressure, and fuel level. The five-digit odometer shows 41k miles.
The fuel-injected 5.0-liter V8 was factory rated at 225 horsepower and 300 lb-ft of torque for the model year. Modifications consist of an AEM cold-air intake with a cone filter and aftermarket mufflers. The seller states the factory air-intake components will accompany the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a 2.73:1 Traction-Lok differential.
