ZR-1 models feature wider quarter panels and a revised tail panel in comparison to the standard Corvette, and this example is finished in Bright Red with a body-color removable roof panel. Additional exterior details include retractable headlights, painted mirror caps, and quad exhaust outlets. A blue-tinted glass removable roof panel is also included in the sale.
Staggered-width 17″ wheels are wrapped in 275/40 front and 315/35 rear Nitto Motivo tires. All ZR-1 models were equipped with the FX3 Selective Ride suspension package, which featured electronically-adjustable Bilstein shock absorbers. Stopping power is provided by four-wheel anti-lock disc brakes. A set of removed Goodyear Eagle tires are included in the sale.
The cabin features power-adjustable sport seats upholstered in red leather, which are joined by matching door panels and carpets. Equipment includes automatic climate control, a trip monitor computer, cruise control, and a low tire pressure warning system. The Delco-Bose stereo does not work and the air conditioning is said to require a recharge.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a central digital speedometer and fuel-level display flanked by an analog tachometer with a 7,000-rpm redline and auxiliary gauges indicating oil pressure, oil temperature, coolant temperature, and voltage. The digital odometer shows 7k miles.
The aluminum quad-cam 5.7-liter LT5 V8 was co-designed by Lotus and was assembled by Mercury Marine in Stillwater, Oklahoma. Output was factory rated at 375 horsepower and 370 lb-ft of torque. The seller notes the injectors were replaced under previous ownership in 2016 and the oil was changed in preparation for the sale. The removed injectors are included in the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission. The transmission cooler lines are said to have been replaced, and the removed lines are included in the sale.
The window sticker shows initial delivery to Bill Fox Chevrolet in Rochester, Michigan, and lists factory colors, equipment, and a total price of $65,583.
