This 1991 Toyota Land Cruiser was acquired by the seller in 2012 from the original owner and is powered by a 5.7-liter LS1 V8 paired with a 4L60-E four-speed automatic transmission and a dual-range HF2A transfer case. 16″ BRAID Fullrace T Dakar wheels wear 285/75 BFGoodrich All-Terrain A/T K02 tires, and a matching spare is mounted on the rear swing-out carrier. The suspension has been modified with Icon Vehicle Dynamics Stage 3 remote-reservoir shocks, Ironman Performance coil springs with a 2.5″ lift, a Delta Panhard relocation kit, and later-model FJ80 front and rear sway bars. The truck is also equipped with T100 front brake calipers and rotors as well as EBS pads. Recent service included flushing the fluid and rebuilding the brake booster and rear drums.
Bolstered Scheel-mann heated front seats have been fitted, and the factory gray cloth rear seats remain in place. Additional equipment includes air conditioning, cruise control, power windows, a Garmin off-road navigation unit, a rearview camera, multiple 12v power outlets, a Pioneer Apple CarPlay touchscreen stereo head unit, and Rockford Fosgate cabin speakers. Sound dampening was applied under the replacement carpets, and ARB storage drawers are fitted in the rear cargo area.
The three-spoke steering wheel frames a 110-mph speedometer and a tachometer along with gauges for oil pressure, coolant temperature, voltage, and fuel level. The six-digit odometer shows 187k miles.
The 5.7-liter LS1 V8 was reportedly sourced from a 1999 Chevrolet Corvette and installed during current ownership in 2018 at Avant-Garde Collection in Portland, Oregon. The seller states that an engine rebuild prior to installation included H-beam rods, JE pistons, a Crane RV grind camshaft, new valves and springs, and a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado intake manifold and wiring harness. A custom engine cover has also been added, along with an ARB pump with air line hoses and fittings. An oil change was recently carried out.
Power is routed to all four wheels through a rebuilt 4L60-E four-speed automatic transmission coupled to the Toyota HF2A transfer case with a Marks4WD adaptor. The front and rear differentials are equipped with ARB air lockers and the seller states that the differentials were rebuilt with new ring and pinions when the lockers were installed. A custom exhaust system has also been added and is equipped with catalytic converters and Magnaflow mufflers.
