This 1992 Land Rover Defender 110 is a left-hand-drive example that was imported to the US under previous ownership before being acquired by the seller in January 2020. A subsequent refurbishment included a repaint in Wimbledon White as well as reupholstery of the interior in double diamond-stitched black vinyl with a suede Masai headliner. Additional work consisted of replacing exterior trim and rubber seals as well as installation of a Terrafirma suspension lift, Dynamat sound deadening, LED lighting, seat heaters, and billet aluminum interior accents. Power is provided by a 2.5-liter turbodiesel inline-four driving all four wheels through a new R380 heavy-duty five-speed manual transmission with a high-ratio fifth gear and a rebuilt dual-range transfer case. Service conducted over the last two years included replacing several engine seals, the clutch release bearing, the power steering pump, and fuel system components in addition to rebuilding the starter.
The aluminum body panels were removed and repainted in Wimbledon White with a gloss black roof, hood, and cargo door. A new windshield, window and body seals, door handles, stainless steel door hinge bolts, and hood vents are also said to have been installed. Features include LED lights, window tinting, a skid plate, a front brush guard, taillight guards, and step bars.
Black 16″ steel wheels are mounted with 265/75 BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A Ko2 tires. The suspension was fitted with a Terrafirma All Terrain medium-load lift kit as well as a front coil spring shock tower kit with associated hardware. A new Pitman arm was installed along with replacement front and rear radius arm bushings. Braking is handled by four-wheel discs.
The cabin is trimmed in black vinyl upholstery with double diamond stitching and carbon fiber patterns. Dynamat sound deadening material was applied to the floors, roof, and sides. Additional work included installing carpeting with a battery access flap, rubber floor mats, front seat heaters, four new seatbelts for the cargo-area bench seats, billet aluminum door handles and shifter knobs, and a replacement heater control assembly. Suede trim from Masai 4×4 lines the inside pillars and headliner and new grab handles were fitted and blue LED lighting was run throughout the interior.
The dashboard features aftermarket switches controlling the auxiliary LED lighting. Additional accessories include a center console with cupholders as well as a number of USB and 12-volt power ports. The two-spoke steering wheel frames a 150-km/h speedometer with a five-digit odometer showing 184k kilometers (~114k miles).
The 2.5-liter 200Tdi turbodiesel inline-four was serviced with new gaskets, and a replacement starter and power steering pump were fitted.
Power is delivered to all four wheels through a new five-speed manual R380 transmission with a high-ratio fifth gear and a rebuilt dual-range transfer case that was installed in 2021.
