This 1993 Porsche 968 was delivered new to Japan and imported to the US in 2019. Finished in Riviera Blue over a gray interior, the car is powered by a numbers-matching 3.0-liter inline-four paired with a six-speed manual transaxle, and equipment includes air conditioning, a Continental AM/FM stereo, cloth seats with power height adjustments, and 17” Cup wheels. Maintenance since 2020 has included a transaxle rebuild, along with an alignment, fluid changes, and replacement of the drive belt, oil pan gasket, battery, engine mounts, control arm bushings, rear wheel bearings, shocks and springs, and brake pads and rotors.
The car was optioned without a sunroof and was factory finished in Riviera Blue (L39E). Features included pop-up headlights, a rear window wiper, and a spoiler affixed to the rear hatch.
The 17” Cup wheels are wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport tires that show date codes from 2018, 2019, and 2020, and are sized 225/45 up front and 255/40 out back. A space-saver spare is found in the rear storage area, and stopping power is provided by ventilated four-wheel discs paired with black Porsche-branded calipers. The brake pads, sensors, and rotors were replaced in March 2020 by Highline European of Scottsdale, Arizona. Additional work at that time included replacement of the control arm bushings, front shocks, and springs. An alignment and brake fluid flush were performed in 2021, during which time the rear wheel bearings were replaced.
The cabin features front seats trimmed in gray Porsche-branded fabric with power-adjustable height settings, along with a matching dashboard, door panels, carpets, and floor mats. Amenities include a Continental stereo, air conditioning, and power windows.
A leather-wrapped steering wheel sits ahead of VDO instrumentation that includes a 300-km/h speedometer, a 7k-rpm tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows 70k kilometers (~43k miles).
The 3.0-liter inline-four features VarioCam variable valve timing and produced 236 horsepower with 225 lb-ft of torque when new. The engine mounts, oil pan gasket, drive belt, and battery were replaced in 2020, while fluid changes were performed in 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle that was rebuilt by Speciality Car Solutions of Houston, Texas in 2021.
A clear shadow box with a binder of vehicle information is included in the sale, along with a tool kit, jack, air compressor, and Japanese service records.
