This 1994 Mazda RX-7 is finished in Vintage Red over gray leather and powered by a twin-turbocharged 1.3-liter Wankel rotary engine paired with a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. Additional equipment includes retractable headlamps, 16″ alloy wheels, a front spoiler and strut bar from an R-package model, a Clarion CD stereo, air conditioning, and cruise control. The car spent much of its life in Maryland before it was relocated to Colorado, where it was acquired by the seller in May of 2018.
The car is finished in Vintage Red (NU) and features pop-up headlights, an R-package front spoiler, and a power antenna. The Carfax report indicates damage to the left-front of the car in September 2003.
Factory 16″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with 225/50 General G-Max RS tires, which were reportedly mounted under current ownership. Braking is provided by anti-lock four-wheel discs with four-piston front and single-piston rear calipers. The seller states that the brake pads were replaced and the fluid was flushed in 2018.
The cabin features bolstered seats that were reupholstered in gray leather under previous ownership as well as black trim and branded floor mats. Amenities include air conditioning, cruise control, dual airbags, a Clarion CD stereo, and storage compartments behind the seats.
A leather-wrapped three-spoke steering wheel frames a 180-mph speedometer, a central tachometer with an 8k-rpm redline, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer shows 50k miles.
The twin-turbocharged 1.3L 13B-REW two-rotor Wankel engine was rated at 255 horsepower and 217 lb-ft of torque when new.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential. The seller states the primary catalytic converter has been replaced with a downpipe, and other modifications consist of a secondary oil cooler, a strut bar, and a JDM air intake. Work under current ownership reportedly included a coolant flush, polishing the upper intake manifold, and replacement of the spark plugs and ignition wires, vacuum line check valves, alternator, and O2 sensor. The seller notes rust on the underside of the car.
Manufacturer’s literature is included in the sale. A workshop manual and spare maintenance parts also accompany the car.
