This 1997 Mercedes-Benz S600 is powered by a 6.0-liter V12 paired with a five-speed automatic transmission, and it is finished in black over matching leather. Equipment includes 18″ AMG Monoblock wheels, adaptive dampers, xenon headlights, a glass sunroof, tinted rear windows, heated seats, automatic climate control, a period carphone, an electric rear sunshade, and a factory stereo with an aftermarket Bluetooth adapter. Work performed since 2018 has included an oil change, refinishing of the wheels and several interior trim pieces, and replacement of the front bumper cover, left-side mirror, and stabilizer bar links and bushings.
The long-wheelbase body is finished in black (040) and features xenon headlights, fog lights, a glass sunroof, soft door closure, a power antenna, V12-badging on the C-pillars, and tinted rear windows. The front bumper cover and left side mirror were replaced under previous ownership and the rear bumper cover was repainted.
Refinished 18″ AMG Monoblock wheels are wrapped in 255/45 front and 285/40 rear Continental ExtremeContact Sport tires showing 2020 date codes. The car is equipped with an Active Damping System (ADS) and a self-leveling suspension. The front left and right stabilizer links and bushings were replaced in May 2021.
The cabin features seating surfaces trimmed in two-tone black and charcoal leather with burl walnut trim on the dashboard, center console, steering wheel, and door panels. Equipment includes heated multi-contour front seats, power-adjustable and heated rear seats, automatic climate control with rear air conditioning, cruise control, an electric rear sunshade, a period carphone mounted in the front center armrest, and a factory stereo fitted with a Grom Audio Bluetooth adapter. The sunroof panel and sun visors were reportedly re-covered in suede under previous ownership, and the wood trim on the steering wheel and center console is said to have been refinished by Madera Concepts of Goleta, California.
The leather- and burl walnut-trimmed steering wheel frames a VDO gauge cluster with a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, auxiliary gauges, and an analog clock. The digital odometer indicates 88k miles.
The 6.0-liter M120 V12 was factory rated at 389 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque when new. The valve cover gaskets, intake manifold gaskets, spark plugs, water pump, accessory drive belts, fuel filter, oil pan gasket, camshaft adjusters, HVAC valve block, and a steering angle sensor were replaced under prior ownership since 2018. The engine oil and oil pressure sending unit were changed in 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed automatic transmission.
The removed 16″ wheels are included in the sale.
The car is supplied with manufacturer’s literature and recent service records.
