This 1999 Ferrari F355 Spider is powered by a 3.5-liter DOHC V8 paired with a gated six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. The car is finished in black over tan leather and features a black soft top, a Challenge-style rear grille, Veglia Borletti instrumentation, a 599-sourced stereo w/Bluetooth connectivity, 18″ alloy wheels, pop-up headlights, and power windows.
The Pininfarina-designed body is finished in black (1250 DS) and features a power-retractable soft top, pop-up headlights, integrated fog lights, an integrated rear decklid spoiler, quad exhaust outlets, a vented engine cover, and air intakes on the doors and rocker panels. The soft top was reportedly replaced in 2016 and realigned in 2021.
Factory 18″ staggered-width wheels are wrapped in an older set of Bridgestone Expedia S-01 tires that are said to be in need of replacement. Ferrari-branded painted brake calipers are mounted over vented discs at each corner.
The cabin features sport seats trimmed in tan leather with Daytona-style inserts, and matching leather extends to the center console, door panel inserts, and lower half of the dashboard. Amenities include automatic climate control, power windows, drilled aluminum pedals, a dogleg-pattern gated shifter, and a Ferrari 599-style AM/FM/CD stereo with Bluetooth connectivity.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a 200-mph speedometer, a 10k-rpm tachometer, and gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. Ancillary instruments in the center stack include an analog clock and gauges for fuel level and oil temperature. The six-digit odometer shows 22k miles.
The mid-mounted 3.5-liter DOHC V8 features five valves per cylinder and dry-sump lubrication for a factory-rated output of 375 horsepower and 268 lb-ft of torque. An engine-out belt service was completed in May 2020 at Performance Eurowerks in Buffalo Grove, Illinois, and the water pump, mounts for the engine and transmission, and fluids were replaced in June 2021 at Autosprint LTD in Chicago.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
