The car was first registered in Oregon and later spent time in Washington State before moving to Idaho when it was acquired by the seller in 2004. Subsequent maintenance has included fluid and filter changes, servicing of the air conditioning system, and replacement of the mass air flow sensor, fuel pressure regulator, fuel level sending unit, and exhaust cam sensor.
The exterior is finished in Imola Red II (405) and features xenon headlights, Shadowline trim, a decklid spoiler, a glass sunroof, and quadruple exhaust outlets. The Carfax report lists “minor damage” to the rear following an accident in July 2004, as a result of which the rear bumper cover is said to have been repainted.
Silver-finished 19″ SSR GT3 wheels with BMW center caps wear 255/35 front and 275/30 rear Goodyear Eagle F1 tires. The suspension is said to have been fitted with Ground Control camber plates and Bilstien PSS9 adjustable coil-overs. Braking is handled by drilled rotors at each corner.
The cabin features power-adjustable front seats trimmed in black Nappa leather, while gloss black trim accents the dashboard, center console, and door panels. Equipment includes automatic climate control, an AC Schnitzer short shifter, UUC pedals, an aftermarket handbrake lever, and a BMW Business CD stereo paired with a Harman Kardon sound system.
The multi-function sport steering wheel frames gray instrument dials including a 185-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a variable redline, and gauges for coolant temperature, oil temperature, and fuel level. The digital odometer indicates 15k miles.
The 3.2-liter S54 inline-six was factory rated at 333 horsepower and 262 lb-ft of torque when new. A Racing Dynamics front strut tower brace has been installed into the engine bay. The rod bearing recall was performed in September 2005, and the mass air flow sensor, fuel pressure regulator, exhaust cam sensor, and fuel level sending unit have been replaced since 2008.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and an M Variable Lock differential. The differential fluid was changed in March 2019.
