This 2001 Subaru Impreza 2.5RS was acquired by the seller in 2017 and subsequently modified with a turbocharged 2.0-liter EJ207 flat-four sourced from a JDM WRX STI and a six-speed manual transmission sourced from a 2004 STI. The car is finished in blue over a gray and black cloth interior, and additional modifications include Version 3 STI seats, a short-throw shifter, a 60mm 22b-style body kit, an R180 limited-slip differential, Brembo brakes, KW coilovers, adjustable front and rear sway bars, Enkei wheels, a VF48 turbocharger, and a Koyo radiator. New brake pads and rotors were installed in May 2021.
The car was fitted with an ABW Motorsports 60mm 22B-style body kit and a JDM-style flat fuel door before it was repainted in its current blue under the seller’s ownership. Features include a rear wing with an integrated third brake light, S201-style mirrors, side marker lamps, Kouki fog lights with body-color STI caps, and a pink Impreza grille badge. The Carfax report notes a July 2014 accident resulting in the car getting towed, although no additional information is available.
The 18″ Enkei RC-T4 wheels are finished in gold and are mounted with 275/35 Falken Azenis RT660 tires. The suspension features KW Variant 3 coilovers with Cusco upper mounts, a Whiteline rear trailing arm, lateral links, and 22mm adjustable front and rear sway bars. A RevLab Quick Rack steering rack with a 12.5:1 ratio is fitted. Braking is handled by Brembo calipers at all four corners, and new brake pads and rotors were reportedly installed in May 2021.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black and charcoal cloth that were reportedly sourced from a JDM Version 3 STI. The front seats feature red accents and STI embroidery, and additional features include a sunroof, a short-throw shifter, a DCCD controller, a Kenwood head unit, aluminum pedal covers, body-color center stack trim, and a passenger-side cubby in place of the factory airbag.
The leather-wrapped Nardi/Subaru steering wheel frames gauges sourced from a Version 6 STI including a 180-mph speedometer, a tachometer with a 7,900-rpm redline, and gauges for fuel level and coolant temperature. Innovate Motorsports digital auxiliary gauges are mounted in the glove box. The digital odometer shows over 95k miles.
The turbocharged 2.0-liter EJ207 flat-four was reportedly sourced from a 2004 JDM Version 8 WRX STI and was installed under the seller’s ownership along with a new timing belt, water pump, spark plugs, oil pickup tube, thermostat, and iWire harness. Modifications include a VF48 turbocharger, a HyperGate 45mm external wastegate, an AEM three-bar MAP sensor, a Koyo radiator, and Group N engine mounts. A COBB Tuning flex-fuel kit is fitted, and the car was reportedly tuned by Yimi Sport Tuning of Valencia, California, to run on E85 and 91-octane fuels.
Power is sent to all four wheels via a six-speed manual transmission sourced from a 2004 STI and an R180 limited-slip rear differential. Whiteline differential cradle bushings are fitted along with Group N transmission mounts and drivetrain bushings. A downpipe exhaust system is fitted without a catalytic converter, although it is included in the sale along with other removed exhaust components. The car cannot pass a California emissions test and therefore cannot be sold to an in-state private party buyer.
