Introduced for the 2003 model year, the third-generation Viper was initially only offered as a roadster. This example is finished in Viper Red (PRN) and features a black soft top, HID headlights, integrated fog lamps, a hood scoop and louvers, power mirrors, side-exit exhaust outlets, and a rear diffuser. The rear decklid struts were reportedly replaced in September 2021.
Polished alloy wheels measure 18″ in diameter up front and 19″ out back and are mounted with Michelin Pilot Sport tires sized 275/35 and 355/30, respectively. Stopping power is provided by anti-lock disc brakes with Viper-branded four-piston calipers at each corner.
The bolstered seats are upholstered in black leather with contrasting suede inserts, harness pass-through slots, and Viper script on the backrests. The cabin features a matching black dash, door panels, and carpeting. Amenities include air conditioning, a push-button start, power windows, speed-sensitive door locks, Viper-branded floor mats, and an AM/FM stereo with six-disc CD changer.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel frames a Viper-branded 220-mph speedometer and a tachometer with a 6k-rpm redline, while auxiliary gauges for coolant temperature, voltage, and oil temperature and pressure are located in the center stack. The digital odometer shows 4,900 miles.
The 8.3-liter V10 was factory rated at 500 horsepower and 525 lb-ft of torque. An oil change was completed in preparation for the sale.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a Tremec six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
The window sticker lists initial delivery to Elkhart Dodge of Holland, MI, along with factory colors, equipment, and a total price of $83,795. Manufacturer’s literature, original purchase documents, factory build photos, service records, and two sets of keys are also included in the sale.
