The 4.2-liter DOHC V8 was rated at 390 horsepower and 333 lb-ft of torque when new and was refurbished in March 2016 during previous ownership. Components replaced at that time included the rear main seal, crankshaft bearings, connecting rod bearings and bolts, piston rings, valve guide seals, and head gaskets.
Power is transferred to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential.
