The Cobra was distinguished from the contemporary SN95 Mustang coupe by special front and rear valances, body-color mirror caps, rocker moldings, an integrated rear spoiler, and SVT and Cobra badging. This example is finished in Mystichrome (G6) paint, which contains ChromaFlair pigments that shift between bright topaz green, cobalt blue, royal purple, and deep onyx black. Additional exterior equipment includes integrated fog lights and dual stainless-steel exhaust outlets.
Chrome-finished 17″ five-spoke wheels with SVT-logo center caps are mounted with 275/40 BFGoodrich g-Force Sport Comp-2 tires. The SVT-tuned suspension consists of linear-rate springs, gas-pressurized front struts and rear shocks, and an independent rear suspension. Stopping power comes from four-wheel disc brakes with Cobra-branded calipers up front, and the car is equipped with a traction control system.
The cabin features articulated front sport seats upholstered in Dark Charcoal leather with Mystichrome inserts and a Cobra emblem embroidered into the seat backs. Amenities include cruise control, air conditioning, remote keyless entry, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, metal pedal covers, power windows and mirrors, and a factory CD stereo with a six-disc CD changer and a Mach audio system.
The leather-wrapped steering wheel also features Mystichrome accents and frames SVT instrumentation that consists of a 160-mph speedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The digital odometer indicates just under 28k miles.
The 4.6-liter DOHC V8 is equipped with a Roots-style supercharger and was factory rated at 390 horsepower and 390 lb-ft of torque. A plaque showing signatures from the engine builders is affixed to the valve cover, and the oil was most recently changed in June 2021.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a six-speed manual transmission and a limited-slip differential.
